Quick Answer
Marriage Assistance PH guarantees a marriage ceremony within 15 calendar days and completion of the covered marriage documents within 25 working days across every service package, subject to the agreed service scope and written conditions. Both periods start together on the same actual Service Commencement Date. The 25-working-day period does not start again after the wedding. These are our company’s contractual commitments, rather than general processing times promised by Philippine authorities.
You prepare the initial documents required for your circumstances. We coordinate the agreed preparation, appointments, wedding arrangements, registration follow-up and document completion. Eligibility, mandatory attendance and official decisions remain with the people and authorities legally responsible for them.
Marriage in 15 Calendar Days. Marriage Documents in 25 Working Days.
The same two guarantees apply to Basic, Celebration, Premium and High End. Choosing a simpler ceremony does not remove either commitment, and choosing a larger celebration does not give the documentation period a later starting date.
| Commitment | What it covers | How it is measured | When it starts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marriage ceremony | The ceremony and contracted coordination needed to arrange it lawfully | 15 calendar days | The actual Service Commencement Date |
| Marriage documentation | Completion of each document identified in the agreed Documentation Schedule | 25 working days | The same actual Service Commencement Date |
| Collection and delivery | The method, destination and timetable agreed for your documents | As stated in your agreement | According to the agreed delivery arrangements |
| Spouse or family reunification visa | Information about relevant next steps; visa decisions are outside these guarantees | The immigration authority’s applicable process | Separate from the guaranteed marriage service |
The guarantee applies across all packages. The particular services, documents and completion standards are recorded for your booking.
What is the Service Commencement Date?
The Service Commencement Date is the date we actually begin professional work under your accepted booking. Contracted case assessment, document review, preparation guidance, checklist preparation or scheduling may be the first activity.
An initial enquiry, quotation, booking request or payment does not automatically establish that work has begun. Payment and service commencement are separate events.
Once contracted work starts, both guarantee periods start. Written confirmation records the true commencement date and the resulting deadlines; it does not postpone them.
What if document review starts before every document is ready?
If that review is the first agreed professional activity under an accepted booking, it can constitute commencement. The start cannot be moved to a later “file complete” date merely to extend either deadline.
This makes early preparation important. Give accurate information about your nationality, residence, age, previous marriages and document position before the arrangements are agreed.
Calendar days and working days are different
Calendar days run through weekends and public holidays. Working days are counted using the working-day definition and holiday calendar disclosed for your contract.
Your agreement must explain the commencement-day counting convention, time zone, weekend treatment, public holidays and deadline calculation. Once work begins, the written confirmation records the exact deadline for each guarantee.
Do not calculate the document deadline by adding 25 calendar days. Equally, do not add 25 working days to the ceremony date.
There is one starting date and two parallel periods: 15 calendar days for the ceremony, and 25 working days for the covered documents.
Which marriage documents are covered?
The agreed Documentation Schedule identifies each document within the 25-working-day guarantee. It must make clear:
- The document’s official name and issuing authority.
- Whether the required certificate is locally issued or PSA-issued.
- Its format and number of copies.
- Whether translation, apostille or authentication is included.
- What constitutes completion for that item.
- Collection and delivery arrangements.
The final marriage certificate must be identified precisely. A local certified record and a PSA-issued certificate are different products; “marriage certificate” should not leave the required issuer unclear.
Do not assume that every PSA record, foreign consular certificate, apostille or translation connected with the marriage is included. Each covered item and any additional service must be established in the written scope.
Completion is more than submitting a request
An application receipt, enquiry or internal follow-up does not by itself mean that an official document is complete. Each item must meet its agreed completion standard.
Document completion and physical delivery also have different milestones. The schedule states when and how the documents are delivered. If the binding agreement includes delivery within a guaranteed period, that delivery commitment still applies.
Prepare your initial documents before the process gathers pace
You obtain and prepare the initial records identified for your case. We explain the requirements and coordinate their review within the agreed service.
For a Filipino–foreign couple, the marriage-licence document guide separates each partner’s file. Both applicants’ circumstances matter.
| Preparation area | What you should establish |
|---|---|
| Identity | Correct names, nationality and acceptable identity records for each partner |
| Birth and civil-status records | The records applicable to your individual circumstances |
| Foreign legal capacity | The certificate or officially accepted alternative for the relevant nationality and residence |
| Previous marriages | The appropriate final divorce, annulment, nullity or death records and any necessary recognition or annotation |
| Residence | The lawful registrar and supporting residence information |
| Document format | Required originals, copies, translations and authentication |
| Age-related requirements | Any applicable consent, advice, counselling or seminar arrangements |
These are preparation categories, not a claim that every listed document is compulsory for every couple. Our marriage requirements guide explains the broader legal framework.
Resolve a known name discrepancy or missing final judgment early. A fast marriage service cannot substitute for legal capacity or turn an incomplete legal history into an approved application.
How we coordinate the marriage process
1. Review the case and agree the scope
You provide accurate information and prepare the initial documents. We assess the proposed arrangements, explain what remains necessary and agree the package, document scope and responsibilities.
When the first contracted activity actually begins, we record the common Service Commencement Date and both deadlines.
2. Coordinate the application preparation
We organise the agreed document review, checklist and application arrangements. This includes identifying the appropriate office and coordinating appointments and follow-up with the competent authorities.
You still make personal declarations and sign where required. The guide to both partners’ attendance at the licence application explains why online preparation does not automatically remove an appearance requirement.
3. Track the legal steps and ceremony arrangements
We coordinate the agreed schedule around the lawful licence process, required sessions, authorised solemnising officer and wedding arrangements.
Our role is to manage the contracted preparations and organisation. The registrar issues the licence, and the authorised officer solemnises the marriage. We do not exercise their statutory powers.
4. Coordinate your wedding day
You attend the ceremony, give consent and sign the marriage record as legally required. We coordinate the arrangements included in your selected package.
The ceremony is the milestone covered by the 15-calendar-day commitment. It is not the same event as later national certificate issuance.
5. Follow registration and covered document completion
After the ceremony, we track the agreed submission, registration and document requests. We check progress against the Documentation Schedule and coordinate collection and delivery.
Our marriage registration guide explains the official record sequence. The document guarantee continues from the original commencement date throughout this stage.
6. Explain your next overseas steps
We provide information about relevant embassy, consular, recognition and spouse-visa or family reunification requirements. Some procedures require your own appointment, declaration or direct submission.
Guidance about those steps does not bring visa issuance or immigration decisions within the marriage and documentation guarantees. The wider How It Works process explains the managed service.
How the 15-day commitment fits the legal waiting period
For an ordinary marriage-licence application, Article 17 of the Family Code requires notice to be posted for ten consecutive days. The licence is issued after that publication period is completed.
The 15-calendar-day company guarantee does not waive or shorten this requirement. It also does not create a licence exemption.
Posting begins through the registrar’s actual procedure. Sending us documents, making payment or uploading a preliminary form is not proof that the statutory notice has started.
The marriage-licence waiting-period guide distinguishes posting from the full application timetable. Other mandatory requirements, including applicable age-related conditions, must also be met.
We coordinate a lawful schedule around those requirements. A private service commitment cannot authorise a registrar or solemnising officer to disregard the law.
A timeline with two periods running together
Consider a booking where contracted document review is the first activity performed. That actual review date is the common starting point, even if the ceremony takes place later.
| Milestone | Ceremony period | Documentation period |
|---|---|---|
| Actual contracted work begins | Starts | Starts at the same time |
| Application and required posting progress | Continues towards the ceremony deadline | Continues towards the document deadline |
| Ceremony takes place within the agreed 15-calendar-day deadline | Ceremony milestone reached | Continues from the original start |
| Registration and covered documents are completed | Ceremony already held | Each covered item must meet its standard within the original 25-working-day deadline |
| Collection and delivery | Governed by the agreed arrangements | Any guaranteed delivery obligation remains applicable |
This sequence does not assign a universal day number to licence release or PSA issuance. Your written deadlines use the counting rules disclosed for your booking.
It also shows why the commitment is not “15 days, then another 25 working days”.
Planning from abroad
Prepare the records you can lawfully obtain before travelling. Nationality, residence and previous marriages can change the legal-capacity route and supporting documents.
Use our guide to planning a Philippine marriage while living abroad to organise preparation before fixing travel.
Then establish the appointments requiring each partner’s presence, the ceremony date and the agreed document delivery destination. The guarantee does not mean every couple can arrive without preparation and start the same application the next morning.
Our guide to how long to stay in the Philippines separates attendance from later document processing. A 25-working-day documentation commitment does not, on its own, mean both spouses must remain in the country for that entire period.
What happens after the wedding?
The solemnising officer has a statutory reporting duty. For ordinary marriages, the certificate is submitted to the registrar for the place of celebration within fifteen days; PSA guidance distinguishes the thirty-day reporting period for licence-exempt marriages.
Those reporting periods are different from our 15-day ceremony commitment. They are also not a promise of immediate PSA availability.
Local registration, transmission and national copy issuance remain separate steps. The guide to PSA marriage-certificate availability explains that distinction.
We follow the covered documents through the agreed process. We do not describe a pending official request as a completed certificate simply because the ceremony has finished.
Questions about the guarantees
Does the 15-day marriage guarantee apply to Basic?
Yes. Basic, Celebration, Premium and High End all include the same 15-calendar-day ceremony and 25-working-day covered-document commitments.
Does paying today start both periods?
Not by itself. Both start when the first agreed professional activity under the accepted booking actually occurs. If contracted work begins on the payment date, the actual work determines commencement.
Does the 25-working-day period restart after the ceremony?
No. The wedding does not create a second commencement date or a fresh documentation period.
Can we skip the ten-day posting to marry more quickly?
The company guarantee does not permit that. Where a licence and statutory posting are required, the lawful procedure must be followed. A licence exemption must have its own genuine legal basis.
Does the guarantee include a PSA certificate and apostille?
Check the agreed Documentation Schedule. It must identify the certificate’s issuer and whether an apostille or authentication is included. A general reference to paperwork should not be read as including every possible official document.
Is overseas courier delivery included in the 25 working days?
The written schedule specifies completion and delivery obligations. Do not assume that every delivery destination has the same timetable. Where delivery within the guarantee is expressly agreed, that commitment remains binding.
What if an authority or third party causes a delay?
We must explain the circumstances and available lawful options. The involvement of an authority, a third-party delay or suspension of affected work does not automatically cancel, pause or indefinitely extend either guarantee.
Any change must follow the applicable contract and law, including any agreement required. The original commencement date cannot be retrospectively changed merely to extend a deadline.
What happens if a guaranteed deadline is missed?
A missed deadline without a lawful agreed variation is assessed against the relevant contractual commitment. Any expressly agreed remedy applies alongside mandatory legal rights. No particular refund percentage or compensation amount should be assumed unless it is part of the applicable terms.
Are spouse visas and family reunification guaranteed?
No. These guarantees concern the ceremony and covered marriage documentation. We explain relevant next steps, while immigration authorities determine visa applications and their decision times.
